x11-apps/xdm isn’t provided by default, but not for openRC

OpenRC xdm installation is sophisticated, requiring deep knowledge in tech field and prone to concers of complexity applied economics.

Starting fresh Gentoo installed desktop default profile laptop suggests dbus and xdm services added to default level, i. e. reachable target, like init 3. At a glance, it looks like an executable is already installed, because OpenRC recognizes xdm service, adding by execution it to default run level, but in essence, the binnary is missing and booting machine complains about it.

In order to solve this issue the corresponding measures have to be taken – emerge -av x11-apps/xdm installed so that OpenRC pulls it to the loading OS frontend. Nothing sophisticated, but developer then isn’t needing to run startx on login in text mode.
